Our well-prepared, dedicated and fun-loving coaches have either played the sport or have been through many of the coaches' training available to us at the recreational, high school, and college levels.
If the player loves the sport, we prepare them for high school as well as club team Maryland United Field Hockey Club.
NASO operates the following girls field hockey programs: Sticklettes (K-2), Peewees (3-4) Middies (5-6) and Juniors (7-8). NASO runs an autumn field hockey program, a 7-on-7 outdoor summer program and a 6-on-6 indoor hockey program.
We limit the number of players on a team which means more learning and playing time. We offer newcomers and existing players training specific to their needs to make their game time more fun. Our teams do clinics at the University of Maryland and USNA, and a host of other opportunities that are available to us throughout the area.
Teams consist of girls from the area schools such as Rolling Knolls Elementary, West Annapolis Elementary, Bates Middle, Annapolis Middle, St. Annes, Annapolis Area Christian, Inian Creek, Naval Academy Primary School, St. Andrews, and St. Martins, just to name a few.
Field Hockey teams compete against other area teams in the spring of each year. First-year players are welcome at all age levels.
