NASO Youth Sports League

In the heart of Anne Arundel County is Annapolis, the state capital and the home of the North Annapolis Sports Organization. NASO is a youth sports league that emphasizes sports fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork and healthy habits. Girls and boys in grades kindergarten through middle school who play lacrosse and field hockey with NASO are provided the opportunity to compete at various levels of play year-round. NASO sports teams typically play in Anne Arundel County recreation leagues and in area tournaments.

The strength of NASO is the coaches who have considerable experience in coaching youth. NASO coaches have passed background checks conducted by Anne Arundel County and are trained and certified by the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks as youth coaches. All of NASO’s officials, commissioners, coaches, players and parents are expected to adhere to the highest standards of conduct.

Students attending many of the area public, private and parochial schools play for NASO. These include the following public elementary schools: Annapolis, Eastport, Georgetown East, Hillsmere, Mills-Parole, Rolling Knolls, South Shore, Tyler Heights, and West Annapolis as well as Annapolis Middle and Wiley H. Bates Middle Schools. NASO is the primary recreation league feeder program for girls lacrosse and field hockey programs at Annapolis High School.
